double beat exercises, to get the double stroke concept down, and slowing it down to about 70 bpm to make sure it sounds even. and maybe, just maybe, searching.

cant help you on interp though.

Do you mean a french roll or a double-stroke roll in triplet time (as in 6/8, 12/8 and such)?

Use one wrist stroke then two finger/rebound strokes. Practice enough over and over again at painfully slow tempos. Play it for 30 seconds at 60 then go up to 70, play another thirty and so and so forth.

Don't accent the last note unless it's somewhere in the music. It will only cause you to rush. Trust me, my show this year was almost all triplet stroke rolls.

what is a wrist stroke and a finger/rebound stroke? YOU NEVER CHANGE YOU STROKE FROM EIGHT ON A HAND PLEASE DON'T CHANGE. if you really want to perfect triplet rolls then you need to understand that they are the same things as eights. break down double beat where you isolate each hand with a met. play that very slowly and longer then 30 seconds, this should take you a long time. i know people who have been playing all through high school and still can't play in time. so first be able to play double beat in time. then learn to play triplets in perfect time. don't cheat yourself. i hate it that people think that they are really getting better after 30 mins of practice on something as difficult as triplet diddle or any type of roll exercise. it takes a very long time. don't get discouraged and really take your time. you will be greatly rewarded for it later. i see kids all the time who think that they are the stuff. then i say play eight on a hand with a met in time and they poo all over themselves or i say play this with someone else and they can't because they have not learned the proper way of playing.

1. perfect eight a hand, play with a met in perfect time.
2. play a two height exercise concentrating on play correct heights with a met.
3. play double beat over and over. starting very slow and when i mean slow i mean so slow that you can put the met on sixteenth notes and you can isolate each note, paying close attention to stick height, technique, and sound quality. don't cheat yourself.
4. then play triplets in perfect time
5. then add diddles being careful to approach the diddles the same way you would approach eight on a hand. don't change your interpretation from piece to piece. don't slur the diddles. what i use to do was single the notes then i would try to match that exact sound where you would not be able to tell the difference between my diddles and the singles.

This takes people years. It will take a long time, but be patience because if you want your sound quality and technique and intrepretation to be like Queens, or Mikey Burmer then you will take your time and learn it right. most people just jump right in and don't take the time to learn the basics correctly. Always remember everything goes back to eights so its pretty important to master that first then a two height exercise. Everything goes back to that. no good drummer will tell you it came easy. Remember always practice with a met, a mirror, and a friend. hope this helps you and anyone else.

start slow and clean and gradually get faster, but not so you get dirty. "You don't practice speed", chuck barchuk.

You an do all that fancy stuff but what i have found is just playing them over and over again works just as well. Make sure you play them super slow like 20pm and get the heights EXACT. Then do them just normal speed.

i am sorry dude but that stuff is not "fancy" as you so put. That fancy stuff is the basis of everything you play. If you can't play eight on a hand perfectly how can you expect anything else to be any decent. I mean everything you play is based off of that and you can ask anybody who is any good and they will tell you that they broke down every aspect of their stroke and started with the basics. You don't just rep triplet rolls when it is wrong. Because then you are just teaching yourself a bad habit. You must work up to it.
