If you could be in any line.....

If you could be in any drumline over the past 25 plus years which would it be? Explain why.
For me it would be 1990 Blue Devils. That line was men among boys. Combination of dudes that could really drum as well as an off the wall book. You know you're in a good line when guys from the pit can strap on a set of quads and play what the rest of the line.
My second choice is a tie between 1992 SCV and 1980 Spirit of Atlanta. '92 SCV was an "all-star" drumline. As far as '80 Spirit goes just listen to a recording, it says it all plus they had 11 snares.

hm.... that's a toughie. '95 Cavies would definitely be awesome. And I would've loved to have marched SCV '89, not cuz the line was outstanding, or because the book was insane, but because seeing a video of them from that year at finals is what got me into DCI in the first place. It would be awesome to have played in that line, to me at least.

I would have to say '99 Cadets, so I could have pulled a Michael 'Fetus' Terry and march for 6+ years (as he is currently doing). Seeing the Cadets in 1999 was my first drum corps experience. Ever since, I have been a drum corps nut. I have listened further back by purchasing the Cadets 80's and 90's anthology CDs, and I have found that I really love their style. Something indescribable hits me when I hear the sound of their hornlines, or the drumlines playing during the ballad. The Cadets move me like no other, and I finally realized it this year. The lines of '99 and '00 just really made an impression on me. Other than that , my list is as follows for the past 25 years: SCV '80-81, Bridgemen '82, Cadets '83-87, BD '88, Cadets '89, BD '90, Cavaliers '91, SCV '92, Star '93, Cavaliers '94, Cadets '95, Phantom '96, Cadets '97-98, SCV '99, and Cadets '00-'05. I'm going to include Cadets '06 and '07 as well, as '07 is my age-out and I hope to be marching it in a maroon uniform

OK for me its hard. Star from 89-93. Cadets in 85(you go GarfCadet) or 91 with the huge tenor line in the begining. SCV in 78, 87, 91, 92. VK in 87-95. The top Contenders are: Any VK line. Especialy the 94 tenor line wow. Then Star in 89 or 91(91 not because they won mind you). Last SCV 92. Runners up are BD 88 and 90 27th Lancers from 78 or 80 91 or 92 Crossmen(and that year they had like 8 million man bass line) And a random choice here is Crown in 95. It must have been magical to make finals for the first time.
