The more I think about it, the more I agree with RBassVK. Scary, huh?

The 1990 Blue Devils book had to be a blast to play -- especially the drum feature -- and those guys threw down some notes. (That was my first year in drum corps and I played bass in the Blue Devil B Corps. I was lucky enough to hear them over and over and over and...)

1972 Kingsmen. Wouldn't it be cool to be the first DCI champion, marching in the same snare line as Float and Hardimon?

1986 Suncoast Sound bass line. It says something that people still talk about 'em 20 years later even though the corps doesn't exist anymore.

1980 Spirit of Atlanta. For that matter, pick just about any line Tom Float ever stood in front of.

I think the only thing I disagree on is '92 SCV. Nothing against the guys in the line, but Fiddler on the Roof just didn't do anything for me. Personally, I'd rather have been in SCV in '91. I remember seeing them at the Concord Pavilion show before the season and thinking that they were gonna win drums that year. They were that good that early.

I agree. Great guys on the '92 line, but I did not like that show at all.

I am a big Phantom Regiment fan, but I really like the SCV lines. I like what Jim Casella has done with his drumlines.

Star '93 - The show speaks for itself.
SCV '03, '04 - Casellas writing was so musical and fit so well.

I am torn between 3. The 2003 Blue Devils, The 1995 Cavaliers, and the 1986 Blue Devils. These are all very good, but if I had to.......... 2003 BD.

the year cadets had a perfect drum score,88 or 89 i think....just to be part of a line that is "perfect" would be amazing

The perfect score year was 87 if memory serves me correctly. So many great lines to have been in. I often wonder what lines people would choose to be in from corps taht placed out of the top 5/6 corps at finals.

'88 Madison just because I would love to play with that screaming horn book for Malaguena.
'84 Devils if I remember right, the snare line had something like 124 years of marching experience between them.
'92 Cavaliers had a very musical book and their 1st corps trophy.
