we're pretty pumped about our show...

got bumped to independent world last weekend at Mideast, and finished right behind Music City Mystique, and ahead of Rhythm X and Great Lakes Percussion.

It's gonna be a GREAT World Championships this year.
MCM, Blue Knights, Project, Rhythm X, Black Knights, Penn State, Riverside... they all have a chance to take the gold.

MCM is the line I'm routing for sorry if i mispelled that last one. Since I'm close to Nashville and some of the people in MCM know me and I have been taught by them then I have to give them a good round of cheers.

GO MYSTIQUE

I loved our show. Mike Nevin is an awesome composer. My parts were not completely difficult like the set player last year, but learned seom sick grooves from this show.

Our show is pretty stupid in my opinion. This is our first year to do WG and director choses to do standstill competition. Bleh. We played steel drums which is cool but I would have rather done a marching show. Steel drums are such a pain to unload and load. You know what i mean if you have them especially when your director is super protective of them.

Everyone has to start somewhere. Just be happy that you are fortunate enough to have an indoor program. I've been trying for years to get one started and always wind up getting nowhere.

Hey man there is nothing wrong with doing an Concert percussion show. My HS did that all 4 years I was in HS. No its not as interesting as a marching show, but i think with the right show and attitude, it can be just as fun. And i'll tell you one thing, I learned plenty things about percussion performance that a marching ensemble would never teach me. And those things I learned has really carried me and helped me through my first year in college and BK.

Our show is song randomly picked. Well, there is a pattern. They all are fairly easy. The drill, well, is for one song so far. But otherwise, its cool

i think our show this year is really dumb. we went with some cheap guy for the drill, and there ended up being a bunch of dumb problems with it, like in the ballad, we had like 7 pages of drill that we didnt have music for, and through the show, he never considered that when other sections of the band half to go through/around the drumline, we have drums on. exspecially the snares, they have a crash cymbal, a ride cymbals, and closed hi-hats on their drums (pretty crazy aint it? it wieghs like 55 lbs.) there was all these parts were people could never go through us because we had drums on. so this years show sucked.
