for our drum break, we did 'Tweedle'. Its a pretty sweet piece of paradiddles and paradiddlediddles. It was a sick drum break in the middle of Duel of the Fates, of Star Wars.

This year supposevly our drum break was going to be really crazy. My band director mentioned there being Mounted bass drums involved. He wanted to have The whole band end up in the back of the field(farthest from the box) and then have the drumline weeve through thr band. Then all i heard was that the snares were going to take off there drums at one point and play on the big mounted bass drums. But knowing our drum tech i doubt it will turn out like that. But it does sound pretty cool

My senior years drum break was full of crazy drill and visuals. We started with each section playing a four bar solo and then a full line unison beat for four bars like we have every year. Afterword the Snares and tenors leaned forward for four bars of backsticking and playing off of each others drums. then we faded back to mesh with the basses who played a lick on one hand and a unison ride cymbal beat on the other. After that we all came together for a killer ending lick. It was crazy hard but pretty sweet.

Our band puts drum breaks (5 measure maximum) throughout the show, and we have extended breaks [this year] before the ballad. We are playing selected compositions from the Chronicles of Narnia show, but are STRICTLY playing the music while conveying certain themes by drill--no religious stuff is involved.

we've only gotten our opener so far. I'm kind of disapointed with the drum break. Our second song the battery doesn't even play.

We do either one or two drumbreaks in our shows, usually 30 sec. to a minute a piece. Here's the fun part. Our band will put down their instruments and dance. The drumline is out front, and this is probly the most anticipated part of our shows. This year in our first show we have drumbreaks for "Hips Dont Lie" by Shakira and "Lets Get it Started" - Black Eyed Peas.

this year....our drumbreak is entitled "The Gauntlet" i think its something done by rowloff. it is very fun tho....its about 2 minutes long.....we do some movement, but its mostly park and blow.

Our Show last year was La Nouba and we Had a drum Solo in the middle of "Urban" it was about 2 measures per section. we crabbed sideways during the solo and the last beat would be the last step. On the other side of the field the horns were doing they're little spinning and such. All in all, It was pretty cool.

yea, we're doing la nouba this year and our drum break is urban this year...so cool

I did the la nouba show last year.....i was we did "Urban" as well....but to tell you the truth, i wasnt huge fan of the drum feature in that song....the only good part was probably the snare solo..and there wasnt ever a bass drum solo, but the la nouba show as a whole, is snugglebunny of fun. we played the song "distorted" as our opener. it was awesome. i loved that song.
