Yes, her avatar stated she was from florida and there are several programs on the east coast with that particular piece of equipment.
However, if it was intended to mean your coast of the state of florida, then rock on. You can never be upset about having top quality stuff work with.
Like MAM said, sometimes a certain amount of tarnish can alter the sound a bit. This rings true for my drumset, several of the cymbals are tarnished and/or covered in my fingerprints and they sound better than the day of purchase.
Apologies for the brain fart and not applying that to your situation.
Also, everyone loves that feeling of playing on new instruments. My last year marching our corps got brand new battery equipment, not to mention my personal favorite brand and color scheme. Couldn't have been more excited for that.

That seems more reasonable. And I'm darn sure that we're the only one in our area.

My high school is just opening up this year and we got everything and the best of it. An Adams 5 octave, 4 fully equipped marching Acoustalons, fully equipped marching vibes, 6 snares, 5 basses, 3 tenors, drum set, 7 Adams timpani, everything you could ever want and it's all brand new. We also have a Malletech on back order, so that won't be here for a couple more months.

We have 2 4 octave marimbas ( Premier), one 4.5 marimba (Adams), one Adams xylo, one Adams vibes and one Premier vibes. We're not allowed to put 2 people on an instrument much anymore, we usually get our own now, since we have enough for everyone. But on every instrument, there's 4 mallet players.

When you all are saying "4 octave marimbas" are you saying they are 4.3's or 4 octaves? Also, last time I checked Adams don't make a 4.5 but they make a 4.6...There's a difference

I agree with j3rem1ah about the adams frames.
I too have a 4.3 Adams marimba in my basement, and I love the overall adjustibility, and the overall performance of it. Stands strong when you need to play, and collapses nicely when you need to move it.
