SamuraiX864 Registered: 08/26/04	For snare and bass I'd have to go with Pearl, Yamaha, and then Dynasty because I love the quality and sound of Pearl well above anything, and then Yamaha. Dynasty would be a last resort. Tenors are slightly different. I'd go with Pearl because of quality and sound for first. However, Dynasty is tied with Yamaha because of their amazing cradle. indybdquads Registered: 07/29/06 Loc: California	HEY Guys, just contributing: I truly believe Dynasty makes the best drumline equipment around. The Snares have a very crisp sound and sound excellent with REMO BLACKMAX heads. Their basses also boast a crisp, but not too crisp, punchy, but not too punchy too. The tenors are set up perfectly and have the tightest sound around. They sound awesome with REMO SUEDE EMPERORS and look great on the field, in the lot, or wherever. Two of my instructors, 03,04 Cadets; 03, 04 BD, also agree.

Anonymous Unregistered	Sound wise, I'd go with Premier snares, Pearl Tenors, and Pearl Basses. Of course Premier are notorious for their durability issues, so id probably just stay all Pearl.

If only there were a set of tenors with the sound and tone of Pearl, and the hardware and setup of Dynasty...'cause Pearl hardware kills me sometimes. Dynasty basses project the best out of what I've heard so far, but I'm not too picky here.

Anonymous Unregistered	the way i view it, Dynasty tenors are the only way to go. the cradle is really what sets them apart from other tenors. it keeps everything perfectly aligned. also, you can set how far away you want them, which is great if you are playing with longer sticks- like vegas. i have my own personal set of Dynasty tenors and i wouldnt have it any other way. the big issue with yamahas for me are the rims. they are freakin sharp. i almost lost a pinky playing on those things. i dont know jack about snares or basses. i do own a Pearl ffx snare and its pretty sweet though.
