If you were starting fresh, what instrumentation would you use for a show style line? I'm thinking 5 snares, 4 tenors, 2 quads and I want to try to both tonal and unison basses, so 5 tonal and 2-4 slammers. Anyone?

i think you can get alot a lot more show and alot a lot more style if you add more instrumentation...but that's just an outsider looking in.

perhaps that logic doesnt work here.

Smokinsnare, what kind of technique program do you guys use, or do you just strap up and work on beats?

we've usually got 10 snares, 3 sextuplets(did I spell that right?), 6/8 tennors, 6 cymbals, and at least 5 tonal bass.
