I think doing just heel looks funny when your feet are in a V, so I do full foot then. If the feet are together, then the heel looks nice.

for us the percussion does whole foot and the band does just heel i dont understand y doesnt make much sense to me

I wouldn't come onto a public forum saying you're lazy. And heel-only doesn't mean you're lazy. A weak heel-only means you're lazy. Either way, lazy is just plain wrong.

That's why on the and of four your left foot comes off the ground into a parallel track followed by the right foot doing the same on the next beat. Then on the final two beats the right foot comes off the ground back to the 45 degree followed by the left on the cut-off. It's fairly simple.

whole foot. the band marks with the heel, so we want to be different  also better keeping of time.
