Hey guys, I'm going to Edinboro, Scotland in March. Does anybody know of any pipe bands around that region? I'd like to see them play, then show off my stuff by playing 8th note gocks. Thank you my people of Drumlines.org.

Peace be with you.

My bad... Edinburgh. It is north east of Glasgow, right on the border of the North Sea.

I would say you could try using google to find information like that. Also just as a little warning to you guys who think that pipe drummers can not hang. THEY can. But in a different way. These guys in the grade one bands play some stuff including alot a lot of fast singles. I would encourage you to check out a pipe band when you can. See the other side of marching percussion.

Good one! Be careful over there, kid. There's a lot of good drummers in Scotland. The music is more demanding than you think. You need some serious chops to play the grade I licks.

Go check out Jim Kilpatrick's web site. http://www.jimkilpatrick.co.uk/ Enjoy!

I think I might just stare in amazement then. They may start chasin' me if I do the 8th note gocks.
