hey, has anyone else had problems with Vater marching sticks, most notably MV2's, I got 2 pairs of these and both pairs were so HORRIBLY mismatched...they had noticably different weight and one was longer than the other. both said MV2 so i know they are the same sticks..they had everything the same except one was about 1/4 inch longer...anyone else have this problem?

I've never bought or played with any of their sticks, but I've had problems with some of their other products. For instance, I bought some of their white stick and finger tape and it had this black-green moldy stuff on it. I ended up taking it back and getting a regular one, but then that tape gave me blisters. All in all, from the experience that I've had, I don't like Vater that much.

That's kind of weird though, that one stick would be 1/4 of an inch longer than the other. I've heard of these types of problems, but never that much. Usually it's like 1/2 of a centimeter, but 1/4 of an inch could be a completely different stick. Maybe the problem was that the paint got messed up and they put the wrong name on the stick.

I dont know either that's why it bothers me. I've heard of similar instances but that is nuts right? It's my first pair of Vaters and if things don't shape up and start bein right, I'm never playing Vater again.

If they were mismatched then you should have taken it back to the store where you bought them or called the company. Usually I do not like Vater stuff because of the comments below and similar stuff as well. I have a pair of vater mallets and they have worked for me. However, drumsticks I have had a problem with. Breaking just after three weeks when I usually do not break sticks at all.

Vater marching sticks are very light. I don't like them at all. They're drumset sticks are ok though.

I've not tried their marching line, but as for their drumset sticks, I love them. They hold up really well for me.

vater marching sticks are the worst. theyre too light and the first pair i got were so mismatched and had blemishes on them. vater is a low quality drumstick. they hold up well, but they arent the best sticks in the world to use.
