Hey. Lately when I practice, I have this crazy pain in the fore arm area. I was wondering if it was tendonitis, or not warming up enough, or something else. Please tell me if you think you know what it is (and how to soothe it). Thanks.

If you even think it may be tendonitis you should seek medical attention. Tendonitis is very serious and should be addressed as soon as possible. Please go to the doctors and have it looked at.

Just so everyone knows never apply heat if you think it could be tendonitis. Any muscle pains it is better to use ice. Heat can damage muscles and tendons if used on certain pains. Ice never bad for pains, except for hypothermia.

Yea, heat can cause terrible inflammation (you DON'T want that).

You shouldn't apply heat for any muscle or joint pains, ever. That's one thing you'll find out if you've ever had to be in physical therapy for anything - especially back problems.

I dont know why but every once in a while I will get this reacurring pain in my left hand(like that meaty part of the hand thats on the opposite side of the thumb right under the pinky). Sometimes it doesn't hurt for months then it comes back for months then it goes away then comes back. The doctors say its nothing to just take some advil, and alot a lot of intructors of mine(some guitarists and drummer) have said it just happens as your progress in your chop building. Has anyone else experienced this?
