Hey guys, I just brought home my Vibraphone that I bought for $300!!!! I'm just so jazzed about it that I had to post this. Man, 300 bucks for some vibes. And they sound good too. There's some rust on the frame because they sat in a garage for awhile, and the motor is currently an electical hazard, but the motor still might be salvagable. And, even if it's not, I usually don't use the motor very much anyway. $300!!! Yeah

Where did you get it? That is awesome! I need a vibraphone really badly so if you have any info that would be great.

My private teacher told that the SLO county Jazz Federation was selling a set of vibes cheap. They used to belong to an old dude who passed away. The guys only family was his son who lives in another state, so instead of him having to come get them, the Jazz Federation offered to sell them for him. Since the guy didn't really care, I was able to get them REALLY cheap. Maybe I can get a picture of them up here.
