I'm hoping that this is th right forum for this topic. Our school uses Pearl-randall may tube vest carriers on our Pearl championship drums. Next year, we're gonna have 5 tenor players. We still have our old Pearl carriers sitting around, but they are VERY uncomfortable. Anyway, I'm planning on buying a set of Dynasty tenors, along with on of Dynasty's new carriers. (see pic below) I was wondering if i could use my Dynasty carrier with our school's Pearl tenors. Could i use the whole thing? If not, could i just switch out the Dynasty J-bars with the Pearl ones? Any information would be of great help. Thanks!!!

Unless the diameter of the J-bar is different I don't see any reason the Dynasty Carrier wouldn't work. I bet it would work out just fine.

Uhhhh... it may work, I've tried it the other way around, and Pearl fits into Dynasty , and I would imagine the same goes for the other way around. Oh well. If it's that big of a deal I can ask for you.

Yea if the tube carriers fit in the Dynastys then go for it. We actually have the Dynasty harnesses with brand new drums from Rhythm X and the harnesses feel flimsy. I dont know why but they do.

FlamDragsREasy, when you say flimsy, in what way? Does it feel as though the carrier will snap w/ the drums? On another note, are the carriers comfortable?

Which harnesses are you talking about? The BRAND NEW carriers?

Check the picture. This is the carrier that i am talking about. I thought that the carrier in the picture was the brand new carrier. If there is a newer carrier, could you please post a picture for us all to see?

That is the brand new one. However I haven't heard those results or feedback. Blue Devils liked them and Boston liked them alot a lot as well.
