Do you mean Innovative Percussion? If so, a full list of their endorsed groups is on their website including: Bluecoats, the Cavaliers, Glassmen, Magic of Orlando, Phantom Regiment, Santa Clara Vanguard, and Spirit (the div1 corps).

On a side note, I do think that Innovative has picked up the new backdoor mallet line...

Santa Clara doesnt use them. I saw them with the MS3 aka. Jim Casellas

I thought Phantom uses the Thom Hannums. I got a evans poster with them using them.

There mallets are good but I wouldnt reccommend their sticks for battery.

Please do not double post. You have 6 hours to edit or add to your post. Thanks

Santa Clara's a mutt user... in other words they use VF Battery and IP Pit because the Cassella Mallets project better. the Snare sticks that SCV used were Hardimons, not the MS3's and Phantom has Paul Rennick as the Instructor so naturally they use IP Rennicks for the snares and other IP for the rest of the ensemble.

My bad I just saw them using Hannums in the poster. I was also looking at the Vic Firth website and saw Santa Clara with the Casellas.

If I'm not mistaken I believe that poster is slightly older. (Well it has to be over a year and a half old obviously), but I think their picture on that poster, might be from 2000. One of my students went to their camp for the 2002 season and said they were using Hardimon's at the camp.

Since Rennick is also over the marching percussion at UNT we also use IP Rennicks. They are very nice stick in my opinion. Easy to control with a nice bead...makes for a really solid rebound. I do wish, however they were slightly heavier. I was just thinking that a cross between Kuhns heaviness and Rennicks bead would be a nice combo. The FT-1A tenor mallets are great also (used them while at UNT). They are a good weight which helps project the sound.

Ever since I started using IP I have loved them. I would recommend them to anyone.

FlamDragsREasy...could you explain, out of my curiosity, why you wouldn't recommend IP for battery.

All right, here's my take on the whole thing... IP's Battery sticks are very solid but some people want some more weight transfer, not just an even stick, like the Beddis sticks have more weight in the bead for beter rolls. The Rennicks also have this but are more more diversed in weight throughout the stick. Some people have complained about the Kuhns because they are too back weighed. But, it all depends on what you want and what your line's approach is to the drums.
