There is another post about a 6" drum, but i feel that this is more complicated. I have just bought a set of Dynasty quints. It is a 6-10-12-13-14. I would like to add an 8" spock drum like the Blue Devils use. How can i go about this? Do i have to completely take the tenors apart and re-assemble them? Or can i just move the drums to create more spacing? Any information would be of great help. Thank you!

Well, since you have Dynasty, you'll have to buy an 8 inch drum and a new rail assembly. Then you're going to have to take each drum off of the old rail, and put them on the new one.

I'm in the same situation, except I have the 8 inch and need the 6.

There is no way to create more space on Dynasty tenors because of the way the rail is set up. Each drum has a specific part of the rail drilled out where it is screwed onto, so therefore a whole new rail is necessary.

Get in touch with the guys at Columbus Percussion (when I e-mailed Dynasty, that's who they said I shou;d contact) and they shold be able to help you out.

If you need any help with taking the drums off of the rail, just PM me, and I'll talk you through it.

Give the boys at columbus percussin a call. here is the web site: www.columbuspercussion.com They have realy been a help to me when I bought my Dynasty squnits. I also know that there is a whole there for a second spock drum. Logicaly I assume you can add an eight if you had the eight to add. Best bet is columbus percussion.
