My HS uses yamahas and I personally like Yamaha but at corp we had dynastys and man they were pretty sweet. The drums them selves are awesome but the carriers were a big pain for me. I plan on purchasing one for college.

I marched on a Dynasty drum with 6/3/5 line, and I'll tell you it was pretty sweet. From marching on a Pearl line to this Dynasty line of drums, it made me wish my high school shelled out the cash to cover new drums. Very nice drums indeed.

I recently had the chance to play on a new Dynasty and an older one. The new one was amazing, but as for the older one.. well that is another story.

Our school uses them and we have not had to replace anything yet. We've had ours for two or three years now and they still look brand new but like Osiris said it's all in how you take care of them. Sound is great I'm not sure about just single snare drums but double snare drums have a nice crispy sound to them. If you have any questions just p.m. me. I'll be glad to answer as many of them as I can.

We use Dynasty for indoor and I tell you what. It is a big improvement over the Pearls that I've marched for teh last 2 and a half years.

Ill put in some details. I think they have improved on looks for the most part, I dont really like the sound of Pearl that much I mean dont get me wrong Pearl is a great drum but I like the sound of Dynasty better. I'm not for sure on the weight though so I cant really tell you anything about that.

well the weight of the drums (as far as I know) seem a lot more heavier than others. I've marched Yamaha for this year and it is nothing like the Dynasty drums. as far as sound, as long as you have the right heads they sound really great. snares have a really crisp, clean sound, tenors have that awesome tenor sound thats indescibeable, and the basses flow into each other during runs. all for excellent prices too! i wish we could march Dynasty at school.

Are all Dynasty snare drums high tension drums? I plan on buying one and I of course want a kevlar head and if a drum isn't high tension then it will crack it all up.
