I am looking to buy a snare (I play on a pipe bands Pearl ffx) and the Dynasty stuff seems to be everywhere BD or instructors affiliated with them go. Great Drums or Great Marketing?

I've played on a Dynasty snare but that was about ten years ago when the drums blew big time. The snare throwoff was made of plastic for goodness sake! Anywho, I'm sure there are a lot of lines making the swtich to Dynasty for two reasons, 1) their cutting some great deals which directors always love, and 2) their product has been put through it's paces by some big lines like Blue Devils and Boston Crusaders and is holding up very well.

Haven't played one, but they sound really good. BD has had some great sounds from them over the past few years. Magic of Orlando had a nice drum sound too. Now BAC, their snare techs did something wrong this year, but it's better than those Premiers they use to have.

I have used Dynasty drums and endorsed them for almost three years now, if you would like to talk to me about them drop a line and I will try to answer any questions you have.

I really enjoyed the Dynasty drums. The drums themselves are solid. I did not have to replace anyparts all summer...also the powder coating did not chip. Great Job Dynasty!

I've played on them as well, the snares that is, and I love them. As they said before, they are very solid, we haven't had to replace anything either, then again it's all in how you take care of them.

I have played on Dynasty tenors (thats when I used to play tenors) but not a snare. The tenors though were awesome. Good quality. Nothing broke except number 5's head but thats not made by Dynasty. The Dynasty drums are the perfect drums. I recommend them.

I haved marched Dynasty drums and they are as awesome as you can imagine. I personaly own a set of BD gray and powder coat black hardware 6 pack. The drums are awesome. Plus a LIFTIME Warranty on ALL hardware. My only problem with the powder coating on the tenor rims os that it does seem to have a way of workin off with shots but that aside they are by far THE BEST drums money can buy.
