we have 6 for our juniors and seniors(the big dogs) and the freshies and sophmores get 4, because we don't play as many solos. and we don't play the complicated pieces that "the big dogs" play.

Our school has 6. It comes in pretty handy actually. Just my opinion though.

our school has four drums and there 7 year old remos they are
s*** i and a few other drummers are making a 6" spock and a 8" spock useing 8 ply maple shells we found on the internet.

I dont think its a sin. Because I know for a fact, that if you give me trios, I wouldnt even know what to do with them. I wouldnt be able to play them. Props on being able to play trios. lol

Yea, at my school we have 6. I love it because there are more sweep possibilities. I've played with 5 before and I don't realy like them. I wouldn't mind either of them since I love tenors but I like 6 drums better!
