hey all
our school has a new drumline (literally started last year) w/ 4 snares, 2 tenors, 2 cymbals, 4 bass. so, are there any really basic but cool-looking visuals i could teach the snare line? or the tenors, too for that matter

one more thing: only 2 drummers on the line are percussionists. Everyone else seriously plays another instrument.

One easy one for snare is to bring the sticks to set position and rotate the right wrist to hit the drum.

Oh wait... I just reread what I wrote. I wasn't trying to be an butthole (although I unintentionally pulled it off pretty well, haha), that was actually a legitimate suggestion. See, you bring the sticks to set, then rotate the right wrist with both sticks in that hand so that the palm is facing upwards.

I am a fan of the "DJ Visual" on the Tenors. With 2 sticks in your right hand, you put your hand to your ear. With your left, act like you are scratching a record on drum 4.
