I havn't seen them, but personally I would try and stay shy for a while. They just started creating these drums recently (To my knowledge) and not very many people use them. Though they are in the same price range as the other brands. (
Yamaha,
Pearl,
Dynasty, Ect.) As with most new products though, they are bound to have bugs, and little things. Thats why products are always being updated and redesigned. I'm sure mapex combs them over well, but who knows, maybe the new product will have a problem. Ex. A weak joint system. If your going to spend the money, I would probably go with the
Dynasty set, simply because of the cradle, It seems pretty solid and it is a great idea. Just my $0.02 though.
