1st one is buying like bricks of sticks. I know you can find like 5A's and drumset sticks like that in bricks of 12 or 6 but i cant seem to find a briick of any marching stick for sale.

2nd is, How do you get sponsored by vic and other company's. Im asking for my highschool line but it doesnt really seem like you have to be all that great to get a little discounted sponsership from them, and were pretty good. It seems like its more of a knowing the right people kinda thing..? any ways any anwsers or tips or comments or whatever would be appriciated,.

High school's don't get endorsed. It's the percussion instructors that have endorsements. For example, I'm endorsed by Pearl, IP and Remo. Because of that, my school is able to purchase things at a discounted price. If I leave that school, they lose that discount. There has to be a reason for a company to look at a possible endorsement. It's not necessarily talent of the group as that changes every year.

I don't believe Vic Firth sells a marching stick brick. I think the closest they make to a marching stick brick is when they get the HUGE stick brick taped together to ship out. Other then that, The 5A-55A and signature stick bricks are all you can get for now.

Check out any big chain, Samash, Guitarcenter, SteveWeiss, ect. I don't think they sell marching stick bricks though, Let me know if you can find one.

When I've ordered 6 pairs or more from Steve Weiss, they came in bricks.

They absolutely do sell marching sticks as bricks,I have seen them with my own eyes. It's not a big deal, there is no discount on buying them that way. its just packaging. its how VF sends them to music stores ect...

I have yet to see bricks of 6 from anybody else but VF. to my knowledge.

Bill has the endorsement question covered.

Ohhh, thats what I meant, the shipping bricks. I figured he was talking about the value bricks, where you get 4 pairs for about 20 bucks. I do know of the shipping bricks as I will refer to them though.

In the M.I. industry, a brick = 12 pairs.

Guitar Center, Sam Ash, or any store with 12 pairs in stock can sell you a brick. They might just be in a bag and not shrink-wrapped.

As mentioned above, there is usually no discount for buying a brick because at $7-8 a pair they make very little profit as it is. A school MIGHT get a slight discount when buying in bulk, but don't expect more that 50 cents to $1 off per pair tops.

Your best bet is to hook up with a long-term drum salesperson and develop a relationship for a deal (that goes for any gear you need).

Guitar Center right now has a decent promo package with 2 pairs of Hardimons, a stick bag, and some tape for a good price (if you need all of that stuff, that is).
