Rookie week just started today, till thursday, but the section leaders and captains and stuff go too.

Actual band camp is the 2 weeks after that.

Started band camp last week but we are doing real short rehearsals for next week before school starts.

We started last week also. For the last week, we had three 3 hour rehearsals, and two 6 hour 'rehearsals'. I put the second one in quotes because for the last 3 hours we did some boring leadership stuff.

We leave for band camp tomorrow, which last 4 days, at a camp up at the lake. I'm excited!


We have a really tiny ensemble this year:

• 2 snare
• 1 quint
• 4 bass
• 4 pit

I'm excited to see what we can do with this. =]

We picked the drumline in April.
Did a mini camp in june and started official band camp in July.

It's a state year so...lots of rehearsals
but then again, lots of fun
