....not for nothing...but I love how people talk down on groups that don't win. As if you're such a badass that you can choose which line to march and they'd be lucky to have you. Odyssey is PIW. but they're not that good usually. I know snugglebunny of guys there so I would have a bit of a comfort level at the audition which would really help Sooo...If Odyssey isn't that good. Why would you want to march there? Just because you have friends there? pfft Atlanta Quest is PIO(or A. I don't remember) And just about everybody knows absolutely nothing about them Atlanta Quest used to be a world line. They took a year or two off but came back strong and still put out a great product. Do your HW. Just because a line doesn't place well at nationals doesn't mean they're easy to make. ..but hey....Good luck...I'm sure whichever line you choose to march with will be excited to have you. Glad you aren't auditioning for my bassline. I have no room for Egos.

I wasn't talking badly about them.
It's a well known fact that OPT doesn't do that great usually And I asked around and most people said that Quest used to be good but then they disappeared and when they came back they weren't as good as everybody expected.
I don't have an ego. I just realize that I have multiple options. And i I know for a fact that I would have to work my butt off to even make final cuts for any of these lines. but I know that I do have the ability to make it if I do try hard enough. I'd never talk badly about any line, EVER no matter what they do or don't do...well except for 1 because they're a bunch of douchebags that deserve to get run over by a fleet of trucks...Your perception of what I said is wrong.
The only reason I want to march at all is because I love the activity and want to have fun and enjoy what I'm doing. And, knowing that OPT(which is right now my leading choice) tends to not do well has allowed me to accept that my one and only time marching in Dayton, aside from the regional, may just be Prelims. But that doesn't mean I wont put my all into every single second od the show if I'm even lucky enough to make it on the line. Oh and having friend there would just make the experience better and make things slightly easier on me mentally. Being comfortable and with friends is much better than being scared poop and worried(which I'll no doubt be anyways)
And,not for nothing, from the sounds of things I don't think I'd want to march for you because you seem like a prick...but what do I know that's just my perception of you based off of this lone instance during which you mis-read what I said and decided to assume I was an egotistic kid. There's 2 sides to everything Toe. You, as a relatively older person should know that. My ego is about as big as I am tall, which isn't tall at all...
You can choose to take that however you so choose...

I really don't see how he has that big of an ego, I think it's just because you can't express feelings and emotions well in text

He didn't ask for you to fix his ego problem (if one exists) nor is it possible for you to do so on this forum. Nor is it your job to.
So why not just answer the question he asked, or just not answer.

Drop it. Back to the original topic, please. Y'all didn't answer the question either. My feeling about which line to go to - audition for all 4. Check out each line's style, if the vets are happy with how things are run, and make sure that the line has enough administrative legs to last through the season. A lot of indoor lines end up folding by the end for unforeseen circumstances. MCM won't have that problem, but keep it in mind. Also, don't discount PIO. With so many lines out there, it's pretty difficult to make finals in ANY class, whether it's PIO or PIW. The PIO books may not be as challenging as the World stuff by definition, but the top lines are still arguably better than a some of the world lines in terms of execution and show design. There's a reason why lines are bumped up every year. It's my age out year so I really just want to march the 'big leagues' of indoor percussion. One thing though - looking at your signature, were you were still in a HS line in '07? Does that mean you're still 18/19? If so, you still have at least 3 more years of indoor eligibility...This year wouldn't be your ageout.

Do you guys really think he can audition for all 4?
The camps are probably all around the same time. I'd say 2 is practical 3 is lucky.
MCM has 100% returning bassline...

MCM has 100% returning bassline... Thats not 100% accurate. There was at least one age out. That aside, you never know who is returning until the season has started. To the original poster, try out for as many as you can. You'll have a great experience with any of the ones listed. Best of luck.
