The next time you put your cymbal straps on your cymbals, try this little trick.

Lace your cymbal straps inside out (with the logo on the inside). After you have the cymbal straps tight, flip the strap outside in. You'll notice that the strap sits flatter on one side. Put your hand through on the flatter side. You'll notice that the strap will sit better on your hand. It's a much more comfortable way to go.

mmk. will try that. not about straps. but any ideas on a way that we can work out so that its not as freaking sore when we go to actually play. like something to do during the summer so we dont lose all our muscles (caz i do). yeah im pit now but everytime a parade comes around pit is the cymbal line which is intersting. but anyway i hope to switch soon so im wondering if theres soemting i can do so i wont be as sore when i start playing.

Stretching before and after the rehearsal and doing aerobic exercise are my best suggestions. You may want to talk to your doctor as he or she will have the best ideas on what to do.
