I am curious if anyone knows of any marching/rudimental literature for a bass line that features the 2nd BASS? anything published for solo BASS? and ideas, I would love to know!

just play some snare stuff on BASS and it could be considered a solo

epic fail you forgot to caps BASS that is funny. (= I would love to write one, but I don't believe the bass line I'm on would be able to play it. I would love to write some literature for it, but who would play it?

How about splitting some Single Flam Mills, those sound really cool when played splitted, I play the right hand on the rim and left on the drum, makes a nice little groove. thanks for that idea! You were correct, it grooves well. I think i may use that to start getting some ideas for a piece.

You can also play some 3:2 polyrhythms and paradiddle combinations to create a groovy techno-style beat between the rim and the head.
