I'm going to the Atlanta show Saturday, and I told my dad last night that I wanted to get there an hour and a half/2 hours before it started to see some lines in the lot, and he was worried about it being to long of a day by doing that. He said the only way we could go that early was if I found something that told him a place where it would happen, so if anybodys been to this one before, just a general place would be good.

I don't know why he needs this, I wouldn't imagine it would be hard to tell where a drumline is.

Well, not to be smart @$$ or anything, but they don't call it the parking lot for nothing. I have not been to this show, but where you find the buses, you will find the corps. From that point it is just a matter of listening to see if you hear any lines warming up. As you said, it should not be that hard to tell where a drumline is.

There is no doubt the lot will happen. It does at every show, so there is no way that you show up, and no one (corps or other lot junkies) will be there....especially at a major show like that.

Easy way to find it (in my opinion anyway)... follow the crowd (since there usually is a nice crowd of lot watchers) that's walking AWAY from the venue or whatever it's called.

The parking lot is a good 10-15 minute walk to the entrance in the convention center. There is alarge parking lot (6) next to where tha corps park (7) thats where all of the warm ups will happen

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=e...mp;t=h&z=16

Where you see the semi's is not the lot the busses park ing, they use the one directly across jones from simpson st. the warmup lot is along Northside drive, and on the corner of john st.

Well if you want to see anyone else in the top 8's shows then youll have to miss the BD lot. Everyone starts thier warmup about an hour and ahlf before thier gate time. BD will be on last so they wont even start playing 8's until the Bk is on deck. So youll see the top 4 from the morning show, and SCV. then have to leave to catch BD as it will take you 15-20 minutes to walk to thier lot.

Im not discouraging seeing thier lot, but youll be paying a good chunk of change for your ticket inside, and youll miss 60% of the shows.

With a show like atlanta, you have to pick one or ther other in terms of cost-benifits.

Random question for anyone here.

I'm trying to get to the Atlanta show. My mom said she'd be willing to drive me all the way to Orlando, as long as I can find somebody there to go the rest of the way with, and then drop me back off in Orlando.

So, my question is, is there ANYONE out there who's near the Orlando area (or surrounding counties. Anywhere north of Miami, really) willing to take me to the Atlanta show and back? I'll definitely chip in for gas, and although I'm big and tall, I don't take up much space.

I'd be leaving early Saturday from Miami, hopefully getting to Orlando between 10-11 am. I'd leave Friday but I'm helping a local band get transportation to a venue that night.

If you can do this, please shoot me a PM since I don't check this site as often as I used to. We'll work out all the details.

This is my last chance to catch DCI, and namely to see my friends at the Teal Sound plateline. After all I've been through, with back problems, surgery, loss of job, etc., I hope some of you may understand the situation and be willing to lend a helping hand.

Thanks.
