Note: I looked in the snare tuning thread and didn't find something for a 13' Pearl ffx So I'm about to get a Pearl ffx size 13x11, and It has on a evans on bottom (I don't know what type, but it is mylar) and a white max, I've never tuned a marching snare before so a step by step would be absolutely awesome! I like a regular sound as far as how high i like it, and i like some snare response, but not too wet, still pretty dry. Can anybody help me out?

Note: I looked in the snare tuning thread and didn't find something for a 13' pearl ffx A thirteen foot snare drum?! Whoa... (Just kidding, but ' means foot while " signifies inches.) As for why there's nothing specific to the 13" FFX... Maybe that's because it's not significantly different than tuning other marching snares with the same head combo?

I also couldn't find such a head combo, but i can also use (for the batter head) black max, tendura( Premier, it might be 14" though), or a cybermax. But i mainly just want to know how to tune it. like in which order do i tune them, when is it too high, etc...

the information your seaking is readily available in the snare tuning thread especially since your looking for basics. Look through the posts for the sound you like and follow there instructions as far as which lugs to turn which head do you tune first etc.

Hi, Welcome to DLO. See that thing up top that says "Search"? It's not there to look pretty. I bet if you type in something about tuning, you would have gotten results. Let's try that next time, mmk?
