Hey, I'm a snare drummer (yay us), but I'm also wanting to learn tenors. This means I have to learn to play matched again, but when I try to my left hand seems less relaxed then my right. Is this one of those problems that'll go away the more I play or is it because I'm doing something wrong? thanks in advance

I think it will just take time...relearning matched will be like the first time you learned trad. It will feel awkward and unrelaxed at first, but after a while you will become more comfortable with the grip.

left singles and left warmups. The only way to relearn is to make sure you're doing the right grip so you dont make any bad habits. After there its just practice everywhere you can. In front of the Tv, boredom, and not on a practice pad. They're great, but something with no rebound is usually the best thing to develop chops on.

Just work on it. Pracice in front of a mirror and make sure youre heights are correct and just do eights or ladders to work on that hand.
