I'm not for sure on it, but not very thick at all, don't worry about the size of them though, they're not to thick.

does anybody have more useful insight...how much thinner than a reel feel is it half the thickness? Some better description would be better.

If you look in the Tenor Practice Pad post...i just bought one. The thickness compared to a Real Feel Slim Pad is just about half. If you do end up putting the laminates on, then it wouldn't really be that much of a difference in size.

True. I( and pretty much all of DLO) HIGHLY recommend getting laminates, it'll be way worth it.

Well, Heres what I'm Coming up with, not an exact awnser, but it helps.

1) The HH slimpad says for the feel of a marching snare drum, a thin layer of gum rubber, While the stock pad says for the feel of a tenor or bass drum, I'm assuming that means Multi-tenor too.

2) I use a slimpad without the laminates for rudiment practice, I also have a set of my schools tenors I use for practice, just from trying to tell with my hands, There does not seem to be too big of a diffrence, the pad might be a little higher tension.

I would go to risk that the pads on the quadropad are probably a little thicker then the slimpad, but thinner then the stockpad. Of course, I've never seen the quadropad in real life, So I can't exactly be sure.

just to let you guys know, being a drummer, he meant to hit the rims, it's part of the effect. It changes it up a bit.

i think you should look into a different pad. the quadropad is really weird. i tried it and i didn't like it. i prefer the promark tenor pads. here's a link
