How thick is the Gum Rubber on the Heavy hitter quad pads? I looked on the vic firth site and they don't say

I'm not for sure on it, but not very thick at all, don't worry about the size of them though, they're not to thick.

does anybody have more useful insight...how much thinner than a reel feel is it half the thickness? Some better description would be better.

the main 4 drums are about the thickness of the stock pad and the spock drums are about the thickness of the slim pad

If you look in the Tenor Practice Pad post...i just bought one. The thickness compared to a Real Feel Slim Pad is just about half. If you do end up putting the laminates on, then it wouldn't really be that much of a difference in size.

True. I( and pretty much all of DLO) HIGHLY recommend getting laminates, it'll be way worth it.
