Why does scv always have such a great cymbal line?

because they own at life and if your one of the only corps doing something (out of the top 10) you may as well do it right

because they own at life and if your one of the only corps doing something (out of the top 10) you may as well do it right but when i asked my co-director about it (he marched scv) he said some dude started a tradition of great cymbals and it stuck.

The top few corps strive to be the best at everything they do. Why wouldn't SCV have a great cymbal line? I know that, they have a cymbal line, most people don't, and that is the reason why they do cymbals great. But is there any history behind it? As in why do they still have cymbals if most people don't?

Because they've got such a history of good cymbal players always showing up at SCV camps. So they just choose to keep that tradition going strong...And since none of the other top corps have a cymbal line all the good cymbal players try to find a way to get to SCV camp which means they have a deep pool to choose from and always get insanely good people for their line
That and I would imagine the entire drumming community would hate SCV if they got rid of their cymbal line... hate is a little harsh i think but i would have a strong dislike. but thats me but yea i agree with mazzus.
