so with me being poor(not really) i couldnt afford finale...so i got finale notepad....the only problem im having is that i cant find the snare sound....when i set it for snare drum it sounds like a whistle..i dunno maybe its just me.....is their way to import better percussion sounds besides using virtual drumline

are you looking for someting to make a candence with or regular concert snare? If you have Notepad 2008, here is a template.

Notepad is compatable, and it just has to have the staves from printmusic or full finale. I had notepad, and there were several cadences the .mus on here before the upgrade. It should work. Download my attatchment, should work perfect with notepad 08

Yeah, I could never figure out how the drum sounds worked on notepad. Then again I haven't had to use notepad since the 2002 edition. My advice would be to just save up and get the full version on finale, which will have the Row-loff marching percussion sounds built in.
