Hey, I suck at writing snare parts so me and two other guys from our line are working together to write a cadence. It's nowhere near done, but I want some people's opinions on what we have so far. Thanks smile

Note: I couldn't get crushes for VDL to work. Anyone have an idea how to make them play loudly? Or like the sample itself actually sounds? I have to put a staccato buzz roll just to get a crush-like noise... smirk

I might be just preaching to the choir hear (because you said it was no where near done) but definately make it longer. What i heard wasn't to bad though, maybe make the snare part a little more difficult?

as for the crush buzzes in vdl, i just input the buzz using the sharp symbol untill i hear a crush.

hope this helps

Well I pretty much finished the cadence out. Standard cadence ending that I'm probably gonna change. I renamed the cadence Beembo Leembo, and that pause at the beginning, the captain will yell "Beembo Leembooooo" and on the bass split, the line will yell "Let's Go!". I thought it was a nice little touch.

Sorry that it's so soft. smirk

Comments, suggestions? I'd love them smile

that was very cool. The only thing that i would do to it would be to put a little more of a unison bass part as opposed to split where the tenors have a main groove. Also a cymbal part would be pretty sweet.

Very nice job

the beginning groove thing should be used again imo. its too cool sounding to only go like for 2 measures.
