I would bet that it is, but the mods have just been busy with the whole site update thing. I LOVE IT TOO!

Josh, the webmaster has been working on renovating the scripts to the new version of the site. He works full time and has a family to take care of to, so he only gets a few hours here and there to do it. Usually we're registering by now. Hopefully we'll be able to get the FDC up and running this year before the season starts.
I believe it was mentioned before that the main difference will probably be that the registration period will probably be much shorter than in the past.

I have been working on the scripts, trading sleep to do so at times, because I really want to get things rolling for you guys. I might be asking some veteran members, if I notice any online, to test out some of the scripts as early as tonight.
All registration deadlines will be similar if not the same to last year, so yes, that period will be shorter. However, the period is still plenty long enough.
The 2008 DLOFDC Handbook will be posted in the future and you may read all about Fantasy Drum Corps there.

As for what's required of you, pretty much. Though many users design websites, uniforms, etc. for their corps. You also announce your choice of show theme and selections if you wish, and some go so far as to actually arrange and post the songs. You can make it as superficial or involved as you want to.
