hahaha that def is a dumb idea. if they can only find 1 person to play bass, then they should just have that guy play 1 large, low pitched drum. at some point in time (i think in the early 90's) the bushwackers had some members in the bassline each carry 3 bass drums at once for their drum feature. but they were all small drums and were set up vertically. ...kinda like this guy...except they prolly played better http://youtube.com/watch?v=kxgmIm_SgC8

I can't say that I have ever seen anyone play a triple stack, but double stacks are actually pretty common in my area. Now-a-days though you would probably see the drumline pitted rather than see someone marching multiple bass drums. Back in the 90's however, marching multiple basses was almost common in smaller ensembles.

this does sound like a bad idea. They probably don't have a good idea about how heavy that will be, but they sound like they don't care haha.
