Our band director finally gave in when enough rumors had surfaced.
Our show will be something like this:

-Michael Jackson's "Thriller"
-Time Warp from Rocky Horror Picture Show
-Kernkraft 400 by Zombie Nation

It sounds kinda weird but I think it's going to be raw as hell!

We're having a horror-ish show next year, and we'll be doing Thriller and the Time Warp.

Well there are rumors going through the band that we will be playing a Timbaland song, but it won't be Apologize (thank God). That is all I know as of right now.

if the case is the same as last year, we won't know either until percussion camp starts (next week) or the last week of school

I have absolutely no clue what our show is going to be next season. Our director is probably going to arrange some crappy song again and go through his drawers for some stupid music because he's so damn lazy.

I'm anxious to find out, though.

no no no..... not band camp... it's like tryout/camp/clinic thing.

our band camp is at school july 28-august 8.... right after DCI Southern Championships in Atlanta (july 26)

We have our drum camp at UF and have band camp the last week before school starts.

university of flordia.... gughhhhh I hate them (a little) but anyways, yeah our is at our school from 3:00- 4:30 for 3 days

Our camp starts a week before that, and we go to see Southeastern Regionals the day before away band camp.

Its actually Zombie Nation by KernKraft 400, not the other way around :P

We are also doing Thriller this year as well, its our drum feature, amazing song.

Our school uses Zombie Nation as a stand tune, its quite repetative.

Our show is a decades show. One of the proposed titles is "Rockin Through the Ages" but we arent sure what its going to be, I know all the selections but 1 which I forgot.

we did a decades show year before last with thriller, disco inferno, and some other one... I forgot, it was alright, if they (the band that i wasn't in at the time) would have tried harder, it would have been a good show.

Thriller is like the "in" song nowadays for some reason lol

i do know my band director normally starts off with a variety of ideas for a show and narrows it down slowly. i know the last time he mentioned it for next season he was considering a Pirates of the Caribbean themed show and 2 others..POTC being the main one he was considering..as far as i know thats the one we're doing

Our show next marching season is going to be named "The Impossible Machine". Im not sure what songs it contains but I hear it's gona be sick.

I cant remember the name of our show but I do know that there will be at lease 3 to 4 drum features, they say the show is very drum heavy.

i think we're going to do danny elfman music! like spiderman/beetlejuice/nightmare before christmas stuff...

Our show next year is going to be all music by a composer named Samuel R. HAZO. I don't know the theme or the song titles of the show but Being Drum Captain I've heard the show and it is INTENSE. Especially when we have 200+ kids in my band.

I think Hazo wrote Ride. That might be it. Ride is an amazing piece!

That's the very first thing I thought of as well when I saw his name! We played it for All-Region and it grooves so hard. If any show written by him is as intense as Ride, it's bound to be pretty cool.

Ah, our show next season is Key Poulan's, "Heartbeat".

Hopefully we'll be spicin' up that percussion score, 'cause it sounds pretty basic.

I should know mine in the next few days, unless they haven't come up with one yet.

I hate all of you that get to play Key Poulan stuff and whatnot. We're either getting a Latin or Funk.

I want a show that's really intense/epic/whatever, but my director likes "fun" (meaning, poppy/groovy/plain cheesy) stuff. The only thing I see that would be intense is Malaguena in a Latin show, and that's one of the most overplayed songs ever by marching bands. We've gotten a few new charts to check out, but they're all Bossa Nova/Samba stuff, not intense Spanish stuff that I'd want to put on the field.

Oh, and whichever show we get, I'm not getting my hopes up for having an actual drum feature. That'd be the third year in a row without something more than a 2-4 bar break.

Gah, being a corps-style drummer in the showy band in town sucks.

found out officaly today that our show for next season is pirates of the caribbean (first movie) ...got the music for the first two pieces and they flippin rock, namely the second one. this is gonna be a most enjoyable show..for me anywayz

We're playin' an original show written completely by one of our alum called Chain Reaction.

We just found out that we'll be playing a western-themed show. Our band has actually played it multiple times before, as our band director has been recycling the same shows for the 30 years he's been directing. (A great pet peeve of mine - we do nothing new/innovative.)

Apparently the entire band gets to wear cowboy hats instead of shakos. Oh joy.

We are going be playing star wars the opener is Duel of the Fates and ballad is the anakin love theme and the drum break is jangos escape and for the closer we are doing a mash up of everbodys themes it should be pretty sweet

we got Motown, with songs including Aint no mountain high enough, and respect, and 2 other, which i forgot

our theme is a night at the met and we are doing the carmen opener, nessun durma, can-can as drum solo, and carmen finale. hopefully the drill is good and ill be satisfied

Right, because making sure you're satisfied is the most important thing when designing a show.

haha correct. i say that cuz last years show was terrible. my bd must have been on something when choosing last years. but this year the music is good, it just needs a good drill to top it off.

Guys! Guess what our drum feature is this year! Thriller! Seriously though, Why is everyone doing thriller?

I think were doing like, a Steviewonder and Earth,Wind, and Fire show, With thriller as the "drumfeature".

By drumfeature I mean this is the point where the band does a dance while the drums keep the tempo, At least it's not a terrible hit rap song this year.

I'm with the other person who said it, Being corp-style in a show style band sucks.
