I'm amazed. You guys all start so early. We haven't gotten our music and still won't for probably two weeks. We don't even set the line and have "auditions" until the 11th.

Wow we start on August 8th, yes a friday..practices start the next monday so the 11th and our first football game is the 29th..we just finished camp, we have all our drill down..not clean but atleast we know what its supposed to be..music wise we have 6/7 songs pretty decent which is actually 2/3rds of the show because the 7th song so happens to be Thriller which has the drum break..so far I can play around the drum break I can play the beginning minus like 10 measures before the drum break, then like the end of the song when the winds come back..

Oh joy, cut-time drum breaks with marching..I just hope I can get that down because we are still moving forward marching and we stop and halt in a line towards the front in the MIDDLE of my solo -.-

My schools doing chuck mangione.
Its really drum heavy, but we got the music very early in the year, so we have a lot of time to clean.

Totally jealous...I'm definitely a Star Wars Nerd...

Star Wars Nerds unite!
i would love to do a star wars show, but i'm afraid my band would mess it up so badly it would annoy me a lot.

but anyways, our show is Cirque du Soleil; i hear it's the one playing in florida somewhere? but i also hear that it's a really overplayed show.
