I have just made a major upgrade to Drumlines.org! A lot of new features have been added, and some are gone. But don't fret! I am in the process of adding those features back, but it will take some time and I wanted to open up the Website in the mean time so everyone can still get their DLO fix!

Stay tuned as features are added and tweaked. If anyone has any comments and/or suggestions, please feel free to post them here!

Looks good! Any chance we'd get a brief summary of some of the more notable new features and maybe a list of things that changed? Something like that which is very basic would be interesting and useful.

Just wanted to let you know I've experienced a bug when logging in. I log in, but the site still registers me not logged in. On my second attempt to log in, it works. This has happened to me twice now. I'm using Firefox.

Also it says "more rss feeds coming". Is there one working currently? What's the address?

DL - I'm having a similar problem as squash. First time I login it doesn't catch it (although it sends me to the "forum list" page) but second time it does.

on that note I'm a user that has changed my user name. When I try to login with my new user name (I changed names months ago) it doesn't register. But if I use my old user name it catches it and logs me in under my new user name.

I'm sure you guys are working out all the bugs just letting you know.

What you changed was the display name, not the login name.

Regarding the issues with logging in, have you cleared the DLO cookies in your web browser? Another thing you can try is expiring them through this link.

I can guarantee you that DLOFDC will be back.

DLWebmaestro is recoding the whole site. That takes time. If your favorite feature is not back, give it some time, it will return.

Also, as some of you know, uploading attachments would not work. Trying to download something would result in a file not found error. As of late yesterday afternoon, that problem should be fixed.

I am, indeed, working on recoding the DLOFDC scripts. I made a lot of progress on my last days off from work (Mon and Tues) and am doing a little bit of scripting between getting home from work (330) and going to bed (6).

It doesn't look like everything will be completely ready in time for a 01 May registration start, but I will get things completed in time for the DCI season.

Are you going to still have a fourms for ads, like marching drums for sale and such.

I like seeing the new stuff for sale and such, the latest and greatest pit equipment,drums, sticks, pads, racks whatever.

Just an FYI the log-in issue happens regardless of whether or not browser cache or cookies are clear. It's happened a number of times over the past week.

Any word on the RSS feed?

Woo! I've been waiting for that for a long time.

Update on the issue that people were having with logging in twice. This hasn't been tested only for me, so I'd like some feedback if possible. Here's the scenario:

You type in "drumlines.org" and hit ENTER. You click the "login" link and are directed to "http://drumlines.org/threads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/login.html". You type in your username/password, get directed to the "login successful" page, then you're directed to "WWW.drumlines.org". See the difference? No? The "www" part. When you first logged in, the browser created a cookie for "drumlines.org", not "www.drumlines.org". So when you were redirected to the forum after the "login successful" page, it couldn't find the cookie. But then you click the "login" link again, and you're taken to "http://WWW.drumlines.org/threads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/login.html", which after you put in your username/password again, directs you to the forum again but this time sees the correct cookie.

So, in short, access the site at "www.drumlines.org" and you should be good to go

Hopefully, everyone will read this and my inbox will quiet down.

We are currently having a problem with the sheet music section. Some (if not all) of the attachments say they have corrupted files. The problem is being looked into, and hopefully we can fix this without having to upload everything again.
