Good luck... and have fun. Play in as many of the "ethnic ensembles" as possible. They are what make UNT unique. For sure, do the African Ensemble, Steel Drum Band, and the Afro-Cuban stuff with Jose Aponte. If you're into it, you should check out the Indian Ensemble too. You will learn more about rhythms in one semester with Shrinivasan than you have in your whole life. It's crazy fun.
