Or...

You could use the Dynasty cradle...so I've been told. Haven't seen any pictures...could be an urban legend. -Z

The Dynasty cradle is not adaptable to other brands at this time.. unless he wants to re drill for Dynasty lugs..

I have 2 6" spocks on my Yamaha's and for the highest pitch drum I cut a 1 inch hole on the side of the shell. It really helped with pitch between the 2 drums.

If I remember correctly too, I think I've seen a 1" hole drilled in the side of one of the spocks on Cadet's sets of tenors. If I recall correctly.

Make a mini sound projector that is velco'ed on. And put it on the spock drum for added sound.

To clarify, projectors do not "add" sound they change the sounds direction.."projecting" it forward...which would be useless with a spock considering it would force the sound into drums 1 and 2..the 1" hole method is the best it makes the drum have more attack.. but it does sound thinner..

Yes, Yamaha drills holes in the spocks for their corps that get custom drums. My school recently purchased the Crossmen's drums from 2005-2006 and the spock shells have the 1" holes in them. They are also cut to different lengths. The one on the left is slightly deeper than the one on the right.

I was at the cavies camp and of course they had the 8" and 6" spocks on the XL hardware. Needless to say ALL the hardware is different. Ive always wanted to do that, but it seems like a costly process.
