I am waiting on confirmation from one more person about judging. I am giving him until the end of the day to get back to me. Either way, there will be an announcement tomorrow. The cadences will be sent to the confirmed judges today and judging will begin at that time. I have no idea how long it will take for the judges to make their individual decisions. After each judge has given rankings, the votes will be tallyed and finalists will be announced.

One more note: there will be no disqualifications. It was determined since there were only 18 entrants, each cadence will be judged. However, the "look" score for the cadences that should have been DQ'ed will be very low. This will also allow everyone to get some critque on their work from their peers.

ok, there is your update

Heh, I appreciate critique, but I also know where my problems are with this particular beast. That's what I get for last-minute writing

I understand your point, but wouldn't it be seeing how YOU stack up since it is a competition contest?

Judging announcement will be shortly. I ran into a snag getting everything submitted to the judges last night (stupid Gmail server was down apparently) so I am doing that now.

Quote:

We are going to wait and see how many submissions we receive before anything related to prizes is announced. Some of the submissions will be disqualified for not following the rules, so we are going to see how many are left for judging.

When the prize announcement is made, the judging panel will also be announced.

And the prizes are...?, not rushing just curious. Are we going to be able to sample all entries or just the finalists? Again, just curious.
