Well it sounds like as long as it's not in the member's section you are fine - right, since you don't have to have a password anywhere else..

-Oh, and I'm pumped about the cadences...I wish I would have caught it sooner.

this is 100% off of the top of my head so please don't hold me to this exact format, but it should be something similiar.

There will be five finalist cadences. You will be able to download an mp3 and pdf of each finalist cadence. From there you can listen and look at each cadence. The same criteria that was used by the judges will be used by the general community. If you need reference, check out the first post of this thread. Finally, there will be a poll that allows to you vote for the winner. You will not be allowed to see the results of the poll until you have voted. The poll will have a starting and ending date, but the time limit has yet to be determined.

I think that covers it.

Coolzies I'm interested to see other people's cadences.

And happy birthday madoldskool

what do you mean? Every cadence submitted had an mp3, it was a requirement of the contest. Every finalist cadence will have a pdf and an mp3

It was mentioned that someone had problems viewing pdfs with the encryption, but the sample worked fine. The sample did not have the encryption enabled. It was just easier that way.

Ok, and an update. It was mentioned earlier that we had some judging conflicts. Well, 2 of the judges managed to finish their stuff despite the conflicts, so we now officially have 7 judges again. This should not delay the finalist announcement at all. I expect to make that announcement sometime tonight.

Ok, after weeks of waiting, days of "giving updates" and hours of bugging the heck out of judges for scores, here are your SIX finalists in alphabetical order: (there was a tie for the fifth spot, so there are now six finalists)

1. Cerebral Flatulence
2. Forced Entry
3. Green Line
4. Just Don't Know
5. Scubidibah
6. Soup to Nuts

Congratulations to the finalists and thanks to everyone who submitted a cadence to the contest.

There are plans to give feedback to all of the composers about their cadences. That will take a little time to organize and I will do my best to get that done quickly.

Also, there will be a few changes in regards to the voting poll. You will not be able to see the results of the poll until the voting period has ended. Also, you will be voting not only for the winner, but for 2nd through 6th. When you vote, you will place the cadences in order from 1-6.

Obviously, we will have to create a thread where each cadence is posted (mp3 and pdf) for everyone to download. This will be done soon, as will the poll for voting.
