first thing I would do is download it again to see if something happened the first time. Second thing is to actually type the name of the cadence in your response so that we know exactly what you are having problems with and we can look at the file and see if there is a problem.

Ok, I downloaded the file to see if there was a problem and everything was fine. Also, the file has been viewed by 7 judges and none of them had a problem. So, it has to be something on your end. Make sure you have the newest version of adobe reader. If you do, then try and view it on a different computer. Beyond that, I don't know what else to do to help you.

once again it, as I have said on this post at least one other time (no offense) it wont let me update it and/or download it and/or uninstall it because it says i have to have a CD that I don't have, so all pdf's idownload i have to unzip it as usual, but when i open it, adobe reader says "preparing to install", so i CANcel that, and right click and press open with Internet Explorer

Won't let you download it? You can't download the Adobe Reader installer (.exe file) from the Adobe site? If that's the case, it seems your problems are with IE. What operating system are you using? What version of IE are you using? What version of Adobe do you have installed (ex. Reader (version number), Acrobat Pro (version number)?

I just opened the file you attached here, and it all looks fine to me (WinXP SP2, IE7 w/ Adobe Reader 8 and WinXP, Firefox 2.0.0.12 w/ Adobe Reader 8).

Have you tried Googling the errors? Have you tried checking Adobe's Knowledge Base?

Ignorant question, but still a honest question non-the-less

Im probably not going to have anything prepared for this competition, possibly next years, but is their a program to use? Ive looked before and cant find a online percussion writing program

You mean besides Sibelius or Finale?

The entry deadline for the competition has come and gone. We are now on the voting of the finalists point.

As Kevin mentioned, the voting is closed. Yes, we do know who is the winner of the contest. No, I am not going to announce it now. There are a few behind the scenes details that are currently being discussed and the announcement will be delayed until those are complete.

So, in the mean time, feel free to discuss the cadences in this forum. I am sure that the composers would like to read some constructive criticism.

Also, here is the list of the members who submitted cadences to the contest. If you are the composer of a finalist cadence, please do not mention which cadence is yours. That will be done when the results are announced.
