i dont know if its just me or others too but when i play with my scojos, they're taped half way up and they're quite heavy.. but when i try to hold down a hard down stroke but somewhere below my left hand thumb, would feel like its shocking me. and after that happens a couple times i see my vein popping out? can anyone explain what this is?

Hey man. you're obviously new here. Let me suggest that you read the rules, and learn them, and make sure to use proper writing skills.

"but when i try to hold down a hard down stroke but somewhere below my left hand thumb"

I had a tough time understanding that one, but I think I get what you're saying overall.

It sounds like a technique problem. I remember back when I used to tweak my grip a lot, I would sometimes accidentally turn my wrist at the wrong angle while playing a hard single stroke, and it would shock my thumb down to the elbow. Relax your hands, and don't try to hit so hard. Use the strength in your forearms to strike down harder on the drum surface, rather than using your fingers or wrist to get that loud sound. And make sure you stretch your wrist, fingers, and forearms thoroughly each time before you play. Make it a second habit to stretch, so that way it doesn't feel like a burden.

Again, I'm just going by what I could understand in your post. Please re-write it to make it easier for others to understand so they can give you proper advice or suggestions.

sorry about that.
but basically what the problem is, is that when I hold down a down stroke on my left hand I would feel a shock from right below my thumb. I am a snare player, and I do play with traditional grip. This usually only happens when i use heavier sticks like my Scojos that are taped half way. After being shocked a couple times i look at my left palm and I noticed that there was a vein that was popping out. I'm not sure if its normal or not, or if its my technique. but this usually doesn't happen when I use my other sticks. any suggestions? and sorry about the first post. it was kinda early in the morning and I hadn't slept yet.
