I'm personally no longer a fan of the Ralphies, We used them, they were decent, then I started getting bad pairs and so I decided to try the ScoJo, I love them.
The Vega tenor stick, I love the way it feels against the drums, and I love how they feel like I'm holding a set of ScoJo's, but the length has begun to annoy me, I can't do anything with them. At first I didn't mind, but now its starting to annoy me, but the mallets don't feel as nice weight wise or against the drums. I would probably email a thank you letter to VF if they made the vega in a short version.
And, that shows how sheltered I am, I've only really used about 4 marching sticks (MT1A-S,Vega,Ralphie,Scojo)

On the subject of a bad tenor player
just to let you guys know, being a drummer, he meant to hit the rims, it's part of the effect. It changes it up a bit.
