Because usually that means someone has a reply to what you said. I like checking what people say after I make a post, and this would make it easier.

Yeah I know, but I don't want my favorite topics list to start piling up. If you think about the reply feature, people mostly just reply to the topic as a whole. In fact all posts are, in effect, a reply to the topic or the person who posted above them. However, when they use quote, they are responding to something specific somebody posted. I want to see notification if someone has a specific response for me. Does that make sense?
