That's a pretty silly rule, but my band director freaks as well. The percussion intr. doesn't care at all. I think it's a little immature to freak out over a shirtless guy. Or a girl in a bikini top.

No, it isn't a swimming pool, but we've all been to one and know what every thing looks like. It's not a big deal.

Our band director yells at us. When we go to camps and stuff by ourselves our adviser allows us to go shirtless, cause it gets hot where we go. But during band camp, everyone must have a shirt on at all times.

Man, so some of you will never experience a harness tan? How can you live with that!?

I don't know. My senior buddies who just graduated took me aside and whispered in my ear "Get out of here and into a corps as soon as possible!" So I'm taking their advice! But hopefully our director's feelings about shirtless men will change soon.

It's pretty weird actually. I had a video on my iPod right? It was of the Cadets battery practicing their 2006 feature. My director comes over, and his first comment is about how they aren't wearing any shirts. I explain that it gets as hot as Hades practicing like they do. And he stills thinks they should wear shirts. And then I was watching a field tracking section of one of my Cavies DVDs, right? My mom's first remark is that most of them are not wearing shirts. I can expect this from my mom. But from my director who has been to drum corps shows in the past? Come on. Be a little understanding. I don't see why they make a huge deal about men being shirtless.

We require shirts, mainly to keep the guard in line...skanky hos.

Am I the only one that doesn't have a problem wearing a shirt in hot weather?

I dont really have a problem but after working in my yard and stuff with no shirt on i have come to relise it makes a HUGE difference. Wearing under armor is really really close to wearing no shirt but all of mine is black so i cant wear it to practice.
