I go to Garces High School
Our school is interesting in that the drumline doesn't march at all. Last year our pit/drumline was set up behind the band marching and that's how we played. Everyone switches instruments between songs, which has both its upsides and downsides.
However, our band is going to be 75-80? people i think. I'm not sure at this point, we haven't had band camp yet. But our drumline is disproportionately large for the band, about 25 people strong.
We have 2 tenors, about 4-5 snares, and interestingly enough, no bass drum line. Then we have the usual complement of mallets and such.
Our show this year is the music of cirque du soleil (how original, i know).

Position: Pit, would be snare
Band size: AA or AAA
Battery size: None, unfortunately (~10-12 pit)
Band show: The Four Freedoms... performed by one or more other marching bands in the country, I believe

Our show has some difficult pit parts, and our BD believes we need all the talent we can have in the pit, hence the absence of a drumline. I really don't like it, but I can't do much about it.

Band size: (most likely) A
Battery size: Not set yet. 2-3 snare 1-2 tenor 4-5 bass
Band Show: Night Watch. Unoriginal show, unfortunately.

The show is pretty cool, although the snare book is pretty simple..for me at least. wink Simple, but fun. I like it. I had to write in my own "unofficial" stickings. =\ (I haven't run it by my drum instructor because camp hasn't started yet)
