Depending on the year, they also had Delucia and Kerchner writing (1985) as well as Jim Prime, Jr. writing for brass and Donnie Van Doren teaching brass.
There's also a memoir of sorts by Bill Cook that Hoppy apparently forgot to read . . . it mentioned Star's use of props in '87. I believe they said in retrospect that they should have ditched the props in June because of the traveling difficulties among other things.
